Only 5% of adults with Down syndrome in the U.S. have access to specialized healthcare clinics.
To address this critical gap in care, the National Down Syndrome Society is developing the CARE Down Syndrome Project in partnership with Brian Chicoine, MD. This project will feature an accredited online continuing education course along with a library of resources to equip primary care providers with the knowledge they need to meet the unique medical needs of individuals with Down syndrome.
